Settings
Settings is where you configure ACE. It is the umbrella sidebar group under Manage → Settings, and it holds three pages: Account Settings, Workspace Admin, and Project Settings. Each one acts at a different scope.
| Page | Scope | URL | Documented in |
|---|---|---|---|
| Account Settings | You, personally (the same everywhere, for every workspace and project) | /settings/account | Account Settings (this section) |
| Workspace Admin | The workspace you currently have active | /settings/workspace | Workspaces guide |
| Project Settings | The project currently selected in the sidebar | /settings/project | Administered from the project itself |
Only Account Settings is documented in this section. Workspace Admin is covered as part of the broader Workspaces guide, and Project Settings is administered from the project itself, since everything on those pages is about running a workspace or a project, not settings in isolation. This section links out rather than duplicating that content. The one exception inside Workspace Admin is Billing, which is big enough on its own (plans, checkout, credits, budgets, invoices, usage analytics) to have its own section. See the Billing guide.
In this section
- Account Settings: the four tabs, Profile, Appearance, Personal API keys, and Invitations.
Why three separate pages?
Each page only ever acts on one thing, and that thing is never something you pick from inside Settings itself:
- Account Settings always means your account; there is nothing to select.
- Workspace Admin always acts on whichever workspace the sidebar's workspace switcher currently has active. Switch workspaces first (see Switching and creating workspaces), then open Workspace Admin.
- Project Settings always acts on whichever project the sidebar's project switcher currently has selected. Switch projects first with the sidebar's project switcher, then open Project Settings.
This is also why the three pages carry different visibility rules: Account Settings has no permission gate, and every signed-in user sees it, because it only ever exposes your own data. Workspace Admin and Project Settings are visibility-gated: you only see the page (and only the tabs within it) that your role and grants allow.
Where to find it
Left sidebar → Manage → Settings, which expands into Account Settings, Workspace Admin, and Project Settings.
How this connects to the rest of the platform
- Manage is the sibling sidebar group that holds the operational side of a project (Agents, Secrets, Support, Usage), as opposed to the who-owns-it and what-it-is-called side that Settings covers. See the Manage guide.
- Permissions shown or hidden across Workspace Admin and Project Settings are the same per-member grants set in Workspace Admin → People & access. See People and access for the full grant model (workspace-level and per-project).
- Personal notification delivery, which used to be a Settings tab, now lives outside Settings entirely, on the Inbox page's gear icon, because it turned out to be project-scoped rather than account-scoped. See Notification delivery.
